Tested in our boutique and loved by families nationwide, the Dorma Twin Bed earns its place as a first "real" bed and a long-term bedroom anchor. Its sturdy, fully upholstered frame in blush performance velvet brings a luxurious matte finish that is stain resistant, Oeko-Tex® certified, and rated to 100,000 rub counts — built for real children in real rooms. Assembly requires no tools and takes minutes, and the bed fits any standard American twin mattress with no box spring needed. Two standard side rails are included; toddler guard rails are available as an additional purchase.
Every Dorma is proudly handcrafted by hand in Monte Design's Toronto facility using sustainably sourced materials. Flame retardant-free foam throughout means nothing in the upholstery that shouldn't be there. Solid American walnut feet ground the frame in a warm, natural finish that coordinates beautifully with the full Monte Design nursery and bedroom lineup.
Three Style Configurations
The Dorma Twin Bed is available in three silhouettes: High Head/Footboard for a classic, enveloping look; High Head/Low Footboard for an open, airy feel; and Low Head/Footboard for a streamlined, modern profile. All three configurations are available with or without the optional trundle bed.
Optional Mattress
Monte Design's custom 8" mattress features two layers for exceptional support: a 2" top layer of 100% GOLS certified natural organic latex, and a low-VOC 6" CertiPUR certified foam core made without flame retardants, phthalates, formaldehyde, ozone depleters, or heavy metals. The zip-off cover is machine washable. Twin mattress measures 74½" L × 38¼" W × 8" thick. 10-year prorated warranty. Ships compressed and rolled. Made in Canada.
Optional Trundle Bed
The Monte Trundle Bed rolls out from underneath on 4 wheels and works as a sleepover bed or extra storage. Fully upholstered sides. Trundle measures 72" × 40" × 7.5". The optional trundle mattress measures 72" × 38" × 5" with a zip-off, machine-washable cover — standard twin sheets fit. 10-year prorated warranty. Made in Canada.
